520 3 |a► XI. yüzyılda Tuğrul ve Çağrı Beyler önderliğinde Horasan'da kurulan Büyük Selçuklu İmparatorluğuna başkentlik yapan dört büyük merkezden biri de Rey şehridir. Bir zamanlar Doğu'da Bağdâd'dan sonra en büyük şehir olarak gösterilen Rey şehri, saltanat mücadeleleri gibi siyasî ve askerî olaylardan, mimârî, dinî, kültürel ve sosyal faaliyetlerden birinci derecede etkilenmiştir.Selçuklu Başkenti Rey adlı Yüksek Lisans tezimizde, yukarıdaki bahsettiğimiz faaliyetler çerçevesinde, şehrin İbrahim Yinal tarafından alınışı, Tuğrul Bey tarafından başkent yapılışı, gerek başkentlik dönemi ve gerekse de başkentlik sonrası dönemi siyasî, askerî, iktisadî, ilmî, mimarî ve sosyo-kültürel yönleri gibi konular işlenmek suretiyle hem Selçuklu tarihinin hem de şehir tarihinin önemli bir dönemine ışık tutmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu nedenle imkan dahilinde ana kaynaklar ve şehrin tarihini ilgilendiren eserlerden istifade edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
520 3 |a► The Great Seljuqs Empire was built in the 11 th century in Horasan under the leadership of Tughril and Caghri Begs. From the four cities Rey is one of the capital of the Great Seljuqs Empire. Once upon a time, the city Rey is shown to be the biggest city in the East after Baghdad. This city was affected with first degree, by reign struggles from a political, military incidents, architectural, religious ,cultural and social activities.The topics that were mentioned above were written in our thesis, Rey capital of the Great Seljuqs. The city that was conquered by İbrahim Yinal and the city was made capital by Tughril Beg. Before and after Rey was the capital, the political, economical, social cultural, architectural, scientific and military sides were searched. In this study a important period of Seljuq history and city history were trying to be lightned. For this reason, this thesis benefitted from possible key resources and Works concerning city history.
