Özet, vb.
“In the English translation of Peleus 84 Heinz A. Richter describes the history of the Ottoman Empire during World War I. The description of the military events on the fronts of Gallipoli, Transcausasus, Mesopotamia, Sinai and Palestine are accompanied by an analysis of the simultaneous political events. Richter presents the various partition plans for the Arab world (McMahon, Sykes-Picot and Balfour Declaration) as well as the Allied plans to divide up Asia Minor. The developments from the Armistice of Moudros to the peace treaties of Sèvres and Lausanne are presented extensively. Furthermore, Richter points out the excesses against Christian inhabitants in the Ottoman Empire questioning the role that played German soldiers and diplomats“ -- Yayıncı.
