The relentless pursuits of Russia for dominion over the Turkish Straits mirror the region's geostrategic importance. This report casts light on Russia's intrinsic motivations rooted in its geographic longing for warm waters.
Yet, the study moves beyond Russia's geopolitical ambitions and delves deeply into the rationale behind the presence of US Navy units in the Black Sea post the First World War. It explicates their pivotal role in safeguarding American interests and citizens, as epitomized by the appointment of Admiral Bristol.
