Özet, vb.
The interconnectedness between sport and colonialism has long been a matter of interest to sport historians. Consequently, a large number of scholarly works exist on physical education and physical culture history, but there is no significant work on this within a South African context, both nationally and at community level. This book therefore provides the first historical account of physical education and physical culture in Cape Town, South Africa and its surrounding areas in the Western Cape. Francois Johannes Cleophas is Associate Professor of Sports History at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
